| Located on forest land overlooking beautiful Navajo Lake sits this rustic décor log cabin. Remodeled in 2003 this log cabin has approx 1272 sf and includes large log beams, dormer windows, log pole stairway, 2 bedrooms, an open half loft, kitchen, dining area, bathroom and mud room. The tongue and grove interior along with the log stairway sets off a mountain cabin feeling and the view of the lake from the living room windows gives a sense of tranquility. The beautiful rock fireplace includes a wood stove insert gives the cabin warmth and sets off a superb mountain aroma. The mud room houses the generator and keeps the extra wood dry. The fridge and stove run off propane. |
| This cabin sits in the National Forest on leased land overlooking beautiful Navajo Lake. The 20 year lease is being renewed in April 2008. A seasonal water system is in the area and piped into the cabin. The cabin comes furnished and ready to enjoy. Navajo Lake is located in the heart of the Dixie National Forest above Cedar City Utah. It is surrounded by lush meadows and dense aspen and pine forest. The fissures in the rock under the lake act as natural drainage which spills out several miles away at Duck Creek and in the middle of the mountainside at Cascade Falls.
Navajo Lake offers a leisurely atmosphere. There are small fishing boats and fish in abundance in the lake, trails that run nearly the entire length on the lake. There is also additional lodging available. Sitting at approx 9500 elevation Navajo Lake enjoys a spectacular summer season. The warmest time of the year brings temps in the 90s to the night cool down to the 50s. Through the winter highs are generally in the 40s, and winter nights in the teens. The autumn season bring the area alive with colors of the changing aspens trees. For the avid hiker the Virgin River Rim Trail runs along the rim of mountains that surrounds Navajo Lake. This trail is set up for hiking, biking or horse back riding. Also the famous Zion Narrow Trail leading into Zion National Park is not far from this area. |
